• Tick-borne Encephalitis / TBE/ vaccination available
• Tick-Borne encephalitis is an infectious viral disease transferred by ticks/  tick bite / and affecting the human nervous system.
  The WHO recommends immunisation in regions where ticks appearance is common. In the last years the Czech Republic had a high occurrence of ticks within Central and Eastern Europe.
  There is vaccination against TBE available and it reaches 99% efficacy.
  TBE vaccination consist of 3 separate shots, in order to gain a a long-term immunity against the disease.
  A person should get re-vaccinated within following 3-5 years after the third shot.

• Measles epidemic
• At the present time, the Public Health Offices are recording an increased incidence of  measle cases.
  
  
  All patients which are suspicious of measles symptoms, or have been in close contact with a contagious person, should be examined by a specialised ambulance for infectious diseases.
  In case you have suspicion, that you are infected by measles virus, please call our ambulance and we will provide you with the instructions how to proceed.
  
  
  This infection is regarding not only the children, which have not obtained vaccine against measles, but also adults who do not have the sufficient levels of antibodies.
  The vaccination against measles has started in 1969. Adults borned earlier very probably underwent this disease and probably have sufficcient lifelong protection.
